The last part of January I fell on the ice in the parking lot,
landing on my right arm and shoulder. I
had been having severe pain in my right shoulder. I had not been able to pick up anything with
my right had, that had any weight to it.
I had lost a lot of strength in my right hand. My thumb and pointer finger would go numb at
times. At one point it was so bad it
even hurt to eat. Just holding a fork
and lifting to my mouth was painful. I
started eating with my left hand. This
injury also was effecting my sleeping because every time I would turn over to
my right side the pain in my right shoulder would wake me up sometimes as many
as 4 times a night. I thought maybe it
would just get better with time. After 6
weeks of pain I went to see a doctor. I
had cortisone shots. They didn’t help.
While talking to a friend one day she said she had been having similar
symptoms and she found out her neck was out of place. So I decided to try chiropractic. I have only had 3 treatments from Dr. Smith
and I have seen an improvement already.
It doesn’t hurt to eat. I’m able to lift some things with very little
pain. The last 2 nights I’ve only woke
up once a night. I’m feeling a lot
better.
